Dec 19 - Train to Paris

We left the hotel at noon (check out time at the hotel) to walk to the train station a few blocks away.  The walk wasn’t really that big a deal except that rolling suitcases on cobblestone is a bit rough.  We got there way before our train was to depart so found a small café and settled down with some hot chocolate.  Unfortunately it was in the lower level of the station and sort of “outdoors” so we were really cold.  Eventually we moved into the station and finally found seats.  Our train was about a half hour late departing but eventually the gate was announce…so off we went with the very large crowd.

The trip to Paris was uneventful.  Upon arrival we took a taxi to our hotel, which turned out to be a half a block from the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre.  Great location.

We did do a quick check of the location of the Christmas Market in the Tuileries but didn’t take our cameras…so we have no pictures for today.
