We
didn’t head to the markets until about 5:30 as we wanted to see them at
night. However, we didn't get very far before we had taken our first photo. The train station is right across from the hotel and they were projecting Christmas lights onto the facade.

Watch video of train station lights.

The park on the way to the markets was light up quite nicely with lit trees lining the walkway and large balls of light overhead.
The skating rink was busy and the Carousel Bar was doing a booming business.
There were light decorations overhead...
and many of the buildings along the streets in the market area were even prettier at night with lights illuminating the decorations.
Even the churches were light up.
This was Saturday night so the markets were packed.
In some areas you
just shuffled along with the crowd. But since the object of visiting the markets is to check out all of the Christmas items it was better to move slowly anyway.
They had all of the same types of goods out tonight as they did yesterday but somehow they looked more magical at night.
Children were out in force and there were a number of rides and other items for them.
Fortunately it
wasn’t too cold.
