Dec 18 – Strasbourg

Today it is actually sunny, but probably colder than the previous days. We went back down to the area around the Notre Dame de Strasbourg to find a place for lunch.  The cathedral was just opening up so we decided to tour it first.  

The stained glass was extraordinary.

There was a pretty massive astrological clock in the church that was currently undergoing restoration.

There was an entire series of tapestries hanging along the nave of the church...

and nativity scenes.

Then it was more wandering through the markets and decorated streets of Strasbourg.

After lunch we went back over to Petite France to get more pictures…this time with the sun shining.  It was even lovelier today.  Strasbourg is absolutely magical.

We ate at a nearby restaurant.  Can never quite get away from the US.  This time it was the coasters on the table advertised a brewery from Petaluma CA.
